Our client had correctly identified this magnificent ruined Georgian house and formal gardens, so visible from M25, as having great potential as a major office complex.

Copped Hall Offices

Our proposal combined the pruning strategies used at Uplands to remove later additions to the main house with Ted’s growing interest in using planting to provide solar protection.

The house and the celebrated gardens and pavilions were to be fully restored and the house flanked by two storey fully glazed offices protected by large overhangs and ivy-clad pergolas.

The planners were becoming convinced but unfortunately the absentee owner was not interested. Copped Hall is currently owned by a Trust.
