    Carol is one of our Practice Leaders with responsibility for business development. With over 25 years of experience, she has led the design on a range of technically challenging projects, specialist cultural buildings and a number of bespoke homes; from concept to final interior design and furniture selection. Carol serves on the TRADA Board and was an advisor for the RIBA Green Plan of Work. She has been an external examiner and guest critic at a number of universities.

  • Peter Inglis Practice Leader

    BSc(Hons), DipAAD, RIBA, Architect

    Peter's responsibilities cover our processes, standards and resource planning. He has an expert knowledge and experience of project design and management with over 20 years working on Higher Education and residential projects. Peter is a visiting tutor at Cardiff University and has taught design, construction and sustainability at University College London, UEL and the University of Strathclyde. He qualified as an architect from the University of Strathclyde in 1999.

  • Roddy Langmuir Practice Leader

    MA(Hons), DipArch, RIBA, Architect

    Roddy is a superb designer with 30 years of experience of creating beautiful cultural, educational and residential buildings and masterplans in the UK and abroad. He is one of our Practice Leaders with responsibility for design. Roddy chairs design review panels for Architecture and Design Scotland and lectures widely. In 2013 he chaired juries for the RIBA Awards and the Cairngorms National Park Design Awards, and in 2014 he was on the jury panel for the UK's Milan Expo 2015 Pavilion. Roddy is a talented athlete in many arenas.

  • Ted Cullinan Founder


    2008 RIBA Royal Gold Medallist Ted Cullinan is an inquisitive, inventive and passionate composer and maker of buildings. He studied at the University of Cambridge, the Architectural Association and Berkeley. Ted established our office as a co-operative in 1965 and his tenacious commitment in striving for excellence in design continues to inspire our practice. Ted was awarded a CBE in 1987 for Services to Architecture, elected a Royal Academician in 1989, and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland in 1995. In 2005, he was awarded a Special Commendation by the Prince Philip Designers Prize for his outstanding lifetime achievement in design and in 2010 he was made a Royal Designer for Industry by the RSA.

  • Johnny Winter Senior Partner

    BA(Hons), DipArch, RIBA, Architect

    Johnny has natural strengths in managing projects and has 30 years of experience of designing educational, residential and commercial masterplans and buildings, including new build and retrofit projects. As one of our Practice Leaders, Johnny ensures that we deliver an excellent service for our clients and create high quality architecture. He sits on the Olympicopolis Quality Review Panel, advising on major cultural and university developments at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and a Client Design Monitor at Dacorum Borough Council, Hemel Hempstead. Johnny has taught and lectured at a number of universities and designed and built his own house in London.

  • Colin Rice Senior Partner

    Colin is a senior partner with responsibilities for our delivering an excellent service for our clients and ensuring we create high quality architecture. For each project he supports the development of a clear technical strategy for building elements based on project experience and current standards. He developed his specialist technical expertise over six years investigating and remedying defects in buildings prior to joining Cullinan Studio. Colin represents the office on various research and Knowledge Management networks and leads our Innovate UK supported 'Immersive Visualisation In Construction' research project.

  • Robin Nicholson Senior Partner

    CBE, RIBA, HonFIStructE, HonFCIBSE, Architect

    Robin is a senior member of the practice with a range of supporting activities. He is Convenor of The Edge, Chair of the Cambridgeshire Quality Panel, a Design Review Chair for Design Council CABE and a member of NHBC Foundation Expert Panel. He has been Vice-President of the RIBA, Chairman of CIC and was a founder member of the Movement for Innovation Board. Robin was awarded a CBE in 1999, an Honorary Fellowship of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2002 and an Honorary Fellowship of Chartered Institute of Building Services in 2013. He is an Honorary Professor of the University of Nottingham and oversees our canalside garden.

  • Wen Quek Partner

    AADip, Architect

    With over 25 years of experience, Wen has an extensive knowledge of sustainable urban design, residential and Higher Education projects. She has particular skills in high level strategic thinking and team leading and with exceptional attention to detail and procedures. Wen is the partner in charge of the human resource aspects of the practice, including our recruitment and performance appraisal procedures. Wen is an external examiner at the University of Nottingham and sits on the Haringey Design Quality Review Panel. She is passionate about her local community and volunteers with Global Generation in Kings Cross, who support local young people to connect with each other and the natural world. Wen qualified as an architect whilst working at Cullinan Studio in 1989. She rejoined the practice in 1998 after working in Edinburgh and in Berlin on post-reunification projects to regeneration the former East German cities.

  • Aditi Saxena Partner, BIM Lead

    BA(Hons), MArch, Architect

    Aditi is a highly skilled architect with a large part of her professional experience working on Higher Education projects. She has specialist knowledge of working with cross-laminated timber having previously worked at KLH UK. She has also worked at Sauerbruch Hutton Architects in Berlin, RMJM and Jestico + Whiles Architects in London. Aditi has interests in sustainability and urbanism, particularly informal settlements, and writes her own blog. Aditi studied at the University of Sheffield and qualified as an architect in 2014.

  • Aditya Aachi Partner

    BSc(Hons), AADip, Architect

    Aditya's main interests lie in strategic briefing and design communication, with specialist knowledge of workplace, and significant experience in higher education, residential and transport infrastructure sectors. He has previously worked for Foster+Partners and Grimshaw in London and Melbourne. Aditya has worked with NGO's, charities and the UN to deliver and develop both architectural and charitable projects and has been involved in the regeneration of post-earthquake Haiti. He has been a tutor with the annual AA Haiti Visiting School since 2014. Aditya qualified as an architect from the University of Westminster in 2015.

    Alex has 20 years of architectural experience in a range of sectors, with particular expertise in education, health and cultural projects. Alex has specialist knowledge of working with Modern Methods of Construction and recently worked with manufacturers to develop our off-site, quick-build timber system for schools. is a Alex enjoys teaching and lecturing about the work of our practice and leads our 'Development' management team who ensure our workforce is informed, trained and encouraged to develop its skillset.   • Allan Collins Partner, Document Controller


    Allan is a practising artist who provides project support for the office. He studied Fine Art at London Guildhall University and since graduating has worked in redevelopment, as well as for several design and construction companies in Ireland and London providing administrative, technical and artistic support. Allan's collaborations with Cullinan Studio have produced artistic schemes for the Barge Arm Development and Brampton Manor School. Allan has exhibited his work in a range of European shows including the Creekside Open x 2, selected by Matthew Collings.

  • Amy Glover Partner, Graphics and Marketing


    Amy is our graphic designer and looks after our publicity and communications, including printed and online marketing material, press activity, awards entries, events and bid documents. After graduating with a Fine Art degree from Kingston University in 2003, Amy worked as an admin assistant for an architects' practice in South Devon before joining Cullinan Studio in 2008. She continues to produce her own art and has worked in the art department for two short film projects.

  • Daniel Bianchi Partner

    BA(Hons), MArchD

    Daniel has worked on residential and mixed-use projects and became very engaged in integrating a BIM approach in projects of varying scales whilst working at Squire and Partners. Daniel studied at Oxford Brookes University with an exchange year at Deakin University in Australia. During his education, Daniel explored theoretical and experimental responses to creating social architecture. He specialised in research during his first year of MArchD and during his second year was an editor of the Oxford School of Architecture magazine. Daniel is a guest critic at Oxford Brookes University.

  • Gráinne Nestor Partner

    BArch(Hons), BScArch(Hons), Architect

    Gráinne has consolidated her extensive design and technical experience working on a number of education and residential projects. She has a keen interest in the restoration and refurbishment of buildings and is a member of our Retrofit sector group. Prior to joining Cullinan Studio, Gráinne worked at Burwell Deakins Architects in London, Korth Tielens Architecten in Amsterdam and Aoife Hughes Architects in Ireland. She studied at University College Dublin, TU Delft in The Netherlands and qualified as an architect from London Metropolitan University in 2011. Gráinne enjoys playing the piano and on occasion plays the harmonium in her husband's band.

  • Hannah Durham Partner

    BA(Hons), AA Dip, Architect

    Hannah has worked on new building and refurbishment projects, including a number of listed buildings in a wide variety of sectors. Hannah has a keen interest in research and is currently the oral history researcher for the AA XX 100 project which is celebrating the centenary of women studying at the AA School of Architecture. Hannah studied at Oxford Brookes University, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia and the AA. After graduating from the AA, Hannah spent some time at Hooke Park working on the design, fabrication and installation of a splayed timber cladding system and internal fit-out of the Caretaker's House, which was shortlisted for the Architects' Journal Small Project Competition in 2013. Hannah is currently assisting as a Part 2 Masters Design Tutor at Oxford Brookes University and is our office London School of Architecture mentor for this academic year.

  • Helen Evans Partner, Certified Passivhaus Designer

    BSc(Hons), AADip, Architect, Certified Passivhaus Designer

    Helen has experience of a wide range of residential and urban design projects, including small-scale domestic refurbishment, high spec apartment buildings and large-scale housing developments. A key member of our in-house Research team, Helen is a strong advocate of architectural research and cross-disciplinary collaboration and represents our practice at the BSRIA Soft Landings Network. She qualified as a Certified Passivhaus Designer in 2018. Helen studied at the University of Bath, the Universita di Ferrara in Italy and the AA School of Architecture and qualified as an architect in 2012. Whilst at the AA, Helen co-led a group of 12 students who designed, fabricated and deployed a portable cinema in Lalibela, Northern Ethiopia. This experience has fuelled her personal interest in event-based participative design and working with communities, including the RIBA Ambassador programme carrying out workshops in schools to help children learn about architecture. Helen is fluent in both Italian and Spanish.

  • Kevin Goh Partner

    BA(Hons), DipArch, Architect

    Kevin has strong design skills combined with exceptional technical skills. He has particular strengths in managing design teams, technical coordination and detail design, ensuring that the original design intent is maintained from concept through to completion. He has been involved on a number of educational, residential and urban regeneration projects. Kevin played a key role in our Immersive Visualisation in Construction research project funded by Innovate UK with the aim of improving communication of design data as a part of the drive to deliver higher performance buildings at lower cost. Kevin studied at the University of Sheffield and qualified as an architect from London Metropolitan University in 2006.

  • Kristina Roszynski Partner

    Kristina assists with our business development and has over 15 years of experience of working on urban regeneration and education projects. She has particular strengths in community consultation and is currently working with Repowering London to set up a renewable energy cooperative where she lives in Lambeth. After completing her architectural studies at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, Kristina spent a year in Africa working for Habitat Associates. Kristina is Green Champion for the Lambeth Eco Teams Programme and an allotment enthusiast. She qualified as an architect from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow in 1998.

  • Lara Michael Partner

    BA(Hons), DipArch, Architect

    Lara has excellent skills in briefing multi-headed clients, particularly in spatial planning and interior design. Her meticulous attention to detail, technical know-how and tenacity in contract management ensures that our clients are delivered the best possible outcomes within project constraints. Lara has over 15 years of experience working on cultural, residential and educational projects. Prior to joining Cullinan Studio, Lara gained valuable international experience at practices in New Zealand and Malaysia, where she explored different building methods, including timber, earth and strawbale construction. She has taught at a number of Schools of Architecture. Lara qualified as an architect from Oxford Brookes University in 2001.

  • Louise Laslett Partner, Document Controller


    Louise studied Fashion Design Technology at the London College of Fashion, part of the University of the Arts London. After graduating she joined Liberty of London in their Product Development Team, later moving to Heal's and then Jamie Oliver, where she specialised in homewares and textiles, sourcing products from the Far East and developing these to suit the needs of the specific brands. Louise recently worked at Hackett London in a strategic planning role managing orders, shipments and deliveries to wholesale partners in the UK, Europe and international franchise associates. She enjoys sewing and craft related projects, making pieces for family and friends.

  • Lucy Brittain Partner

    BA(Hons), BArch(Hons), MArch(Hons), Architect

    Lucy has worked on a range of health, educational and cultural projects. She is an experienced architect with exceptional organisational skills and specialist knowledge in landscape architecture. Her Masters dissertation looked at how the positive effects of landscape can be integrated with architecture to create a therapeutic environment and promote mental well-being. In 2005 she spent a year in Malaysia working for Ken Yeang where she developed her enthusiasm for ecological design. Lucy studied at Newcastle University and qualified as an architect in 2007.

  • Nathan Breeze Partner

    BSc(Hons), MArch, Architect

    Since joining the practice in 2015, Nathan has built upon his previous job running experience at design-led offices in the UK and abroad. Trained in APM Project Management, Nathan has also undertaken a Project Management role on several complex projects including a commercial interior fit-out within a sensitive refurbishment of a historic building. Nathan’s critical eye for design is further evident in roles overseeing our internal design reviews as well as being a regular design critic at several leading architectural schools.

  • Philip Graham Partner

    BA(Hons), MArch, RIBA, Architect

    Philip is an experienced designer with particular expertise in large-scale residential projects and international masterplanning. In 2011 he lived in Libya whilst designing visitor strategies as part of the Green Mountain Project and the Shahat masterplan for a zero carbon garden city of 60,000 people. In 2013 he returned twice to post-revolution Tripoli in teaching and institution-building capacities with the RIBA. Philip is currently working with private land-owners, a local authority and a multi-disciplinary working group - Appropriate Housing Group - to test partnering models to deliver more appropriate homes and places. Prior to his architectural training, Philip served as an Army Officer in the Royal Artillery. He qualified as an architect from the University of Cambridge in 2008.

  • Richard Pulford Partner

    BSc(Hons), MArch (2), DipArch

    As Project Architect, Richard has experience working across all RIBA workstages and knowledge of multiple sectors, client types and procurement routes. Richard is a strong all-rounder who is as comfortable with BIM as he is with hand-drawing. He has a keen eye for detail and particular interest in architectural craft, facilitating creative collaboration and the integration of sustainability into the design process. Richard is an external critic at the University of Nottingham and has enjoyed promoting the value of good architecture through organising a series of events as part of the Nottingham & Derby Society of Architects. Richard has a great love of the outdoors and is a keen walker and runner. He qualified as an architect from the University of Nottingham in 2014.

  • Tobias Mackrill Part 1 Architectural Assistant


    Tobias is a part one architectural assistant currently studying for a masters in architecture under the University of Sheffield's Collaborative Practice program. Prior to working for Cullinan Studio, he gained a wide range of experience across a variety of sectors at Feilden+Mawson, with a particular focus on residential, education, and conservation projects. Since working for Cullinans, Tobias has developed a particular interest in the implementation and role of virtual reality within architecture practice utilising this as a design tool as well as a marketing tool. Tobias studied at the University of Sheffield for his undergraduate degree between 2012-2015.  

  • Sahiba Chadha Partner

    BSc(Hons), MPhil, Architect

    Sahiba is an ebullient architect who has been a core team member on a number of housing, education and cultural projects. She has worked at DSDHA in London on mixed-use and residential projects and as a journalist for the Architects' Journal as part of their sustainability team. Whilst completing her MPhil at the University of Cambridge, Sahiba was an editor of the Cambridge Architecture Journal: Scroope, as well as a contributor to the Cambridge Association of Architects' gazette.   • Shamiso Mushambi Partner, Finance Manager


    Shamiso joined us in 2015 as our Finance Manager and is responsible for our day-to-day bookkeeping. She previously worked in the renewable energy sector for nine years and is a firm believer of green power as an essential part of securing the UK's energy future. In her spare time she indulges a keen interest in martial arts, in addition to writing and performing comedy.

  • Zeina Al-Derry Part 2 Architectural Assistant

    BA(Hons), AADip

    Growing up in five countries has shaped Zeina’s identity as a versatile, multicultural person who is driven by a strong natural curiosity with a get-up-and-go attitude. She has a passion for writing about Middle Eastern cities – how their social, political and economic structures shape their physical one, and how their identity is defined and altered by different readings of their histories. Before joining Cullinan Studio, Zeina worked at AWW Architects, Assemblage Architects and Julian Loeffler Architects in London and PPA Architecture in Oxford. Zeina studied at Oxford Brookes University and the AA School of Architecture, she was a research assistant at Sheffield Hallam University for the research project Governance of Communicative Space, and has been a guest critic at Chelsea College of Arts and Oxford Brookes University. Zeina is fluent in written and spoken Arabic.
