Open House at the Foundry Co-Working Hub
We are delighted to be opening our doors again for the Open House Festival on Thursday 7th September, 5-8pm.
As landlords and occupants of the Foundry Co-Working Hub, we know the challenges building owners are facing in making sure their buildings meet the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES). We have been measuring the operational and embodied carbon of the Foundry since the Victorian warehouse was retrofitted to create our new low-energy studios in 2012. A recent study has shown how a few additional PVs to the roof will allow the building to achieve net zero carbon in operation.
In recent years, the Foundry has become a thriving multi-disciplinary hub for innovative organisations committed to mitigating the role that buildings play on climate change, and they will be on hand to talk about their latest work during the Open House event.
We will also be giving informative tours of the Foundry and its path to achieving net zero carbon, as well as bite-size talks about other net zero carbon projects we are currently involved with.
