RHS Garden Hyde Hall Complex has won a 2020 Civic Trust Award

We are delighted to announce that the RHS Garden Hyde Hall Hilltop Complex has won a 2020 Civic Trust Award.

The longest standing built environment awards scheme in Europe, the Civic Trust Awards was established in 1959 to recognise projects that have made a positive contribution to the local communities they serve.

The reconfigured Hilltop at RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Essex now has a dedicated education centre (the Clore Learning Centre) and an award-winning field to fork restaurant and activity barn (the Hilltop Lodge). The Hilltop Complex, also shortlisted for the Civic Trust's Selwyn Goldsmith Universal Design Award, is designed as a family of buildings which enclose and open up to the landscape so that it can be enjoyed in all seasons, helping to fulfil the Royal Horticultural Society's (RHS) long-term objective to inspire passion and excellence in the science, art and practice of horticulture.
