Cullinan Studio shortlisted for Sustainability Architect of the Year

We are overjoyed to be shortlisted for the 2021 Sustainability Architect of the Year Award, an award that recognises architects who have made an outstanding contribution to furthering a more sustainable built environment. The Architect of the Year Awards, run by Building Design, recognise a consistent body of work, rather than one-off projects.

Cullinan Studio is organised to address society’s urgent needs where we can make the most impact. The projects we included in our submission exemplify our approach to sustainable architecture and ethical business: Bunhill 2 Energy Centre – a world first – celebrates new green community infrastructure; the pioneering GreenSCIES project is being co-designed with Islington residents toward 2030 net zero; the National Automotive Innovation Centre at the University of Warwick demonstrates our skills in low-carbon, timber structural design; and The Catkin Centre and Sunflower House at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital epitomise our quest to connect people with nature, for nature’s sake and for ours.
