GreenSCIES included in Zero Carbon London publication

The Zero Carbon London report, launched next week, examines how London is getting ready to become a zero-carbon city, analysing current policies from both city and local governments and reviewing how the private sector is addressing the challenge by setting ambitious standards and developing new industry frameworks.

The report, published by New London Architecture (NLA), presents different initiatives and approaches being developed by key industry leaders, includes a project showcase of over 80 schemes and provides a snapshot of where London is on the roadmap to net zero.

GreenSCIES is an InnovateUK-funded research project being co-created in close consultation with the local community, in a partnership led by London South Bank University. This revolutionary smart, local energy system aims to reduce carbon emissions (by an estimated 80%) and will help Islington Council achieve its ambition of being a net-zero carbon borough by 2030.

To mark the launch of the report on 11th November, the NLA is hosting a webinar that will bring together key figures in London’s built environment sector to discuss what we need to do next in order to achieve the climate agenda.
